Brainerd, MN (KDLM) – Republican Keri Heintzeman is the winner of the Minnesota Senate District 6 special election in Crow Wing and Itasca counties.
Heintzeman topped DFL candidate Denise Slipy from Breezy Point 60 to 39.5 percent in Tuesday’s race. Heintzeman fills the seat of ex-Republican Senator Justin Eichorn of Grand Rapids, who resigned after being charged with soliciting a minor for prostitution.
Senator Heintzeman was the district director for President Trump’s 2024 campaign.
