The 2025 Polar Fest Plunge shattered records this year, with 254 participants taking the icy leap to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes and Perham.
This year’s event raised a staggering $79,000, all going toward programs that benefit local youth.
Top results from the plunge:
• Chillanthropy Champion: The “Pledge for Pat” team, in memory of Pat Johnston, raised the most in pledges.
• Largest Team: SJE led the way with 52 plungers braving the frigid waters.
Organizers thanked dozens of local sponsors, volunteers, and donors who helped make the event a success. They also announced that the 30th Annual Polar Fest Plunge is set for February 21, 2026.
