Menahga Man Seriously Injured in Toad Lake Township Crash

Kelly William Paurus, a 40-year-old man from Menahga, is recovering from serious injuries after his vehicle crashed into trees early Friday morning.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a cellphone crash detection alert around 4:54 AM at the intersection of County Road 151 and 460th Avenue in Toad Lake Township.
A deputy arrived on the scene at 5:00 AM and found Paurus, the sole occupant, trapped inside the vehicle with extensive injuries. The deputy administered life-saving measures until additional responders arrived.
Paurus was flown to a Fargo hospital for treatment. His condition remains unknown as of this morning.
Agencies assisting at the scene included Wolf Lake Fire, Wolf Lake Rescue, North Memorial, Life Link, and J&D Towing. The cause of the crash is under investigation
