Chillin’ for the Children Polar Plunge Saturday February 22nd

The 29th Annual Polar Fest Plunge, benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes, is just around the corner February 22, 2025, at Little Detroit Lake near Lakeside Tavern. This icy tradition raises funds to support local youth programs, helping kids develop skills in academics, healthy living, and leadership. If you’re ready to take the plunge for a great cause, it’s not too late!

Get registered solo or form a team with friends, family, or co-workers at BGCDL.ORG. Once you sign up, the goal is to raise pledges to support your jump. You can ask friends and family to sponsor you, and every dollar goes toward helping local youth. As a thank-you for your efforts, there are cool prizes to be earned at different fundraising milestones.

And here’s where it gets even more fun—team rivalries! Groups from schools, churches, businesses, and service organizations are encouraged to challenge one another. The team that raises the most pledges will be awarded the traveling Polar Fest Plunge trophy, earning serious bragging rights for the year as the official Chillanthropy Champions! The event thrives on community spirit, so bringing a group along as your cheerleaders makes it even more exciting!

Be sure to check in before 1:00 PM the day of to qualify for incentives. Then, get ready to jump into the chilly waters of Little Detroit Lake for an unforgettable experience.
