Otter Tail County (KDLM) – On the heels of his announcement that Minnesota will end its statewide mask requirement today, Governor Walz visited Otter Tail County preparing for the Governor’s Fishing Opener, Saturday.
The Minnesota Governor’s Fishing Opener has been a tradition in Minnesota since 1948. It was designed to improve Minnesota’s economy through the development and promotion of the state’s recreational opportunities, especially fishing.
Walz is expected to fish Otter Tail Lake on Saturday, he visited with Zeke Fuhrman from KDLM about the fishing opener, mask mandates and the Minnesota Twins at Thumper Pond on Friday.
