DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in Detroit Lakes are encouraging residents to help those in need by donating clothing and shoes.
Each summer, the DAV put bins out around the Lakes Area in an effort to help Veterans.
David Christen, who helps organize the bins says that Lakes Area residents have been very generous in the past, “I’ve been doing this for quite a few years. Last year we were overrun because of the COVID shutdown.”
Bins are located at the American Legion and Michael’s Furniture store in Detroit Lakes, the Dollar Store in Frazee, the Glass Shop in Perham, New York Mills Dollar Store, Audubon Liquor Store and Lake Park Dollar Store.
