With the festive season in full swing, Otter Tail County’s Safe Communities Coalition is reminding drivers: “If You Feel Different, You Drive Different. Drive High, Get a DUI.”
The impaired driving awareness campaign runs from Dec. 11 through Jan. 1, with law enforcement actively monitoring for drug- and alcohol-impaired drivers.
“This is a special time of year, and we urge drivers to take safety seriously,” said Sergeant Allen Mekash. “Impaired driving is illegal and deadly. If you plan to use, plan for a sober driver. No excuses.”
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead for safe transportation, help impaired friends find sober rides, and report suspected impaired drivers to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office at 218-998-8555.
Join the effort to keep our roads safe and remember: If You Feel Different, You Drive Different. Drive High, Get a DUI.
