Judging for the Lake Lights & Holiday Nights contest wrapped up last night, and the holiday creativity displayed by DL businesses was nothing short of spectacular!
I had the privilege of judging alongside Vice Mayor Ron Zeman and City Council member Shaun Carlson, who helped organize the event with his wife Anna. We evaluated 14 businesses across three categories:
- Best Spirit of the Season – Most festive outdoor décor.
- Brightest, a.k.a. the Griswold Award – Dazzling, over-the-top displays.
- Indoor Wonderland – Best indoor holiday decorations.
The competition was so impressive that we added a surprise fourth category! We’ll reveal the winners—and the new category—on Monday during Hodge Podge.
