Otter Tail County Honors Commissioner Lee Rogness for 16 Years of Service

Dec 5, 2024 | 6:45 AM

Commissioner Lee Rogness, a tireless advocate for the Fergus Falls area, will conclude his 16-year tenure on December 17, 2024. Since 2009, Rogness has championed initiatives like the Big Build rebate program, expanded broadband access, childcare solutions, and workforce development.

Rogness was pivotal in funding infrastructure projects, including a half-cent sales tax generating over $5 million annually for roads and bridges. His commitment to historic preservation is evident in the restoration of Phelps Mill and the county courthouse.

“Commissioner Rogness’s leadership will shape Otter Tail County for future generations,” said County Administrator Nicole Hansen. Former Public Works Director Rick West praised his forward-thinking approach: “He always planned for the long-term impact of decisions to ensure a better future for the county.”

The public is invited to celebrate Commissioner Rogness’s service on December 17 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center in Fergus Falls.
