The Laker girls’ basketball team earned its first win of the season and secured its first-ever Central Lakes Conference victory with a 62-44 win over the St. Cloud Crush. The Lakers capitalized on the Crush’s turnovers and improved their record to 1-2 this season.
Senior guard Karlee Mace led the game in scoring with 32 points. This win also marked the first for head coach Robb Flint, who has been implementing an up-tempo defensive style this season, which helped secure the win.
The Lakers will return home on Friday night to face another conference and section opponent, the Rocori Spartans.
