Another Day, Another Scam

A Lake Park resident is out $400 for a missed jury duty summons.  The fine was $400.  But, that was a scam.  In fact, the caller told the resident payment would NOT be accepted at the sheriff’s office.  They were sent to wire the money from WalMart.  Which they did.  Again, law enforcement nor courts will EVER ask for a payment for a violation of any sort over the phone.
