Minnesota Archer Bags Massive 12-Point Buck in Southeastern Hunt

Oct 29, 2024 | 7:41 AM

As Minnesota’s deer archery season continues through December 31, a standout 12-point buck was recently harvested in Southeastern Minnesota. Randy Baker, a local hunter and property manager, shared the hunt’s details with *Outdoor Life* magazine.

Baker, who had been tracking two sizable bucks on his land, took his shot with a friend on an early morning hunt. The moment, captured on camera for *Driven Hunter*, shows the 12-point buck standing broadside, resulting in a successful 175-inch score once the deer was tracked down about 70 yards away. Though it won’t be entered into official record books, Baker plans to have the impressive rack mounted.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota hunters have harvested over 18,000 deer so far this season.
