Fergus Falls Man Sentenced for Laundromat Burglary

A Fergus Falls man, Jacob Alley, has been sentenced to 30 days in jail and 5 years probation for burglarizing a local laundromat in July 2023. The sentencing took place on Monday, October 14, in Otter Tail County Court.

 

According to court documents, Alley was identified as the suspect who broke into Syn Laundry and stole $1,742 from a coin machine, causing an additional $5,477 in damage. Officers linked Alley to the crime after finding matching gloves and burglary tools in his residence.

 

Alley pleaded guilty to the theft as part of a plea deal and will also pay $2,213 in restitution.
