“Hot Dish” Event: Project 412 Doing More Cool Stuff

By Trish Johnson Oct 16, 2024 | 6:56 AM

Project 412 is launching its exciting new event, “Hot Dish,” a micro-granting dinner aimed at supporting creative community projects in Detroit Lakes. Taking place on November 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Bucks Mill Brewing, the event promises to be an evening filled with delicious food, innovative ideas, and an opportunity for residents to come together and support projects that build a stronger, more connected community.

For just $5, attendees will enjoy a hearty hot dish dinner with fresh bread while hearing pitches from local presenters who each have just four minutes to share their ideas for community-building initiatives. Audience members will then have the chance to ask questions, discuss ideas, and ultimately cast their votes on which project they think will make the most positive impact on Detroit Lakes.

The project with the most votes will win all the money collected at the door, which will be used to kickstart their initiative. In addition, they’ll receive two personalized brainstorming and marketing sessions with Project 412 staff to help bring their vision to life. Even the finalists who don’t win will benefit from a group brainstorming session with the Project 412 team, ensuring that all participants walk away with valuable support.

If you’ve got a creative idea that could help bring the community together, Project 412 encourages you to apply to pitch your project. Applications are open now and will close at 8 am CST on November 1, with finalists being notified by November 4. Ideas must focus on fostering collaboration and building a stronger community in Detroit Lakes.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see creative projects in action and cast your vote for the ideas that resonate with you. To apply or RSVP to attend, head to “project412mn.org/hotdish.” It’s a fun, interactive way to connect with your neighbors and support local creativity.
