Youth Mental Health and Substance Abuse Summit

 

 Calling all parents, guardians, caretakers, and professionals who are passionate about youth! Minnesota State Community and Technical College will be hosting a Youth Mental Health and Substance Abuse Summit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn about suicide risk, how to prevent an opioid overdose, what Emmaus Crossroads is, a guide to find help and the local community, and how to identify solutions to prevent substance use with youth.

 

Painted Stones Remembrance Service

Hospice of the Red River Valley invites the community to join in a special remembrance service event designed to honor and celebrate the memory of loved ones. The “Painted Stones – A Remembrance Service” event at the Detroit Lakes Public Library, 1000 Washington Ave., will allow participants to paint stones as a meaningful tribute. After the 5:30 p.m. event, attendees can take home their painted stones as a lasting keepsake. The event is open to all community members of any age, and participation is free.
