A head-on collision near Breckenridge on Monday (October 14, 2024), resulted in the death of 83-year-old Gisela Christine Tervola of Fergus Falls and left 30-year-old Dillon Todd Church of Parkers Prairie with life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred at approximately 3:04 p.m. on Highway 210, about four miles east of Breckenridge. Tervola was pronounced dead at the scene, while Church was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. His current condition is unknown.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash. Local agencies, including the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office and the Breckenridge Fire Department, assisted at the scene.
This tragic incident is still under investigation.
