A tragic accident occurred on Saturday (October 12, 2024), during a haunted hayride event in St. Augusta, MN. According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, 13-year-old Alexander Mick, from Rice, was run over by a trolley wagon being pulled by a tractor. The accident took place at 4108 200th St., the location of the annual Harvest of Horror Haunted Hayride. The incident was reported around 7:37 p.m.
Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by staff, bystanders, and first responders, including an off-duty police officer and medic, Mick was pronounced dead at the scene. The St. Augusta Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance also responded to the call. The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
