**Moorhead Man Charged with Attempted Burglary of Islamic Center**

Salih Kasim, 40, has been charged with attempted second-degree burglary after trying to break into the Moorhead Islamic Center on September 26th. Kasim reportedly had a gas can and attempted to block the mosque’s doors with a broomstick. Witnesses observed him trying to break into the building, and police were called. Kasim, who has a history of incidents, was uncooperative with law enforcement and is facing up to 5 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
