After being closed for construction throughout the summer, Highway 34 between Detroit Lakes and Osage is set to reopen by September 29. Motorists are advised that while the road will reopen, additional work may still occur through the following week. This is great news for travelers who have been impacted by detours in the area.
BNSF Railroad Crossing to Close for Approximately 1 Week
The BNSF Railway railroad crossing on Washington Avenue in Detroit Lakes will be closed for about a week starting on Sept. 30 while the crossing is reconstructed.
Washington Avenue will be closed between Highway 10 and Main Street while the work is completed and the crossing is expected to reopen Oct. 7, according to a news release from the Becker County Highway Department.
