Detroit Lakes residents should take note of two upcoming road closures. Lake Avenue will be closed on Sunday, September 29th, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., between the alley near Zion Lutheran Church and Frazee Street. This closure is for the **Holy Rosary Fall Festival**, which runs from noon to 3 p.m. and features food, games, and a farmer’s market.
In addition, the BNSF Railway crossing on Washington Avenue will be closed for about a week starting Monday, September 30th, while the crossing is reconstructed. According to the Becker County Highway Department, Washington Avenue will close between Highway 10 and Main Street, with the crossing expected to reopen by October 7th.
