Two people were injured in a crash involving a **Mahnomen County squad car** on **Friday, September 13th**, near **Highway 32** and **Highway 200** in **Wild Rice Township**. The **squad car**, driven by **Deputy Zachary Joseph Saunders** of Detroit Lakes, activated its **lights and sirens** when it collided with a **Ford Fusion** at the intersection. The Fusion, driven by **Awuol Kuol Ayiiki** of Grand Rapids, Michigan, struck a light pole and rolled. Both Ayiiki and his passenger, **Patrick Logan**, were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Neither was wearing a seatbelt.
