**Overnight Lane Closures on I-94 in Moorhead Starting September 3**

Aug 27, 2024 | 6:44 AM

Starting Tuesday, September 3, motorists on Interstate 94 in the Moorhead area will experience overnight lane closures in both directions. The closures will occur between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for approximately three weeks as the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) crews work to resurface the lanes from the Red River bridge to Highway 336.

### Key Details:

– **Schedule**: Closures will occur nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for about three weeks, weather permitting.

– **Resurfacing Work**: Crews will begin with the westbound lanes near Highway 336, working west in the right lane for about three miles each night. Once they reach the Red River bridge, they will switch to the eastbound lanes. After completing the right lanes, work will shift to the left lanes in both directions.

– **Traffic Impacts**: Expect slow-moving traffic, reduced speeds, and possible ramp closures during the overnight hours. The work is scheduled overnight to minimize traffic disruption in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

– **Safety Reminder**: MnDOT advises motorists to remain attentive, drive cautiously, and slow down in work zones where workers are present.

All construction activities are dependent on weather conditions and may change accordingly. Motorists should stay updated on any changes or additional information from MnDOT.
