The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Pheasants Forever are teaming up to encourage hunters to introduce new or returning hunters to the sport through the Hunter Mentor Challenge. This initiative is open to all legal hunting activities in Minnesota, including pheasants, grouse, waterfowl, deer, squirrels, and wild turkey.
Hunters can participate by pledging on the Minnesota DNR page on the Pheasants Forever website, taking a novice or returning hunter out for a hunt, and documenting the experience with a photo or video. Participants who submit their hunt summary will be entered to win limited-edition Pheasants Forever prizes. The submission deadline is June 30, 2025.
For more information and to take the pledge, visit the Minnesota DNR’s “Take a Friend Hunting” webpage.
