(KNSI) – Minnesota is the second best state in the country in which to raise a family.
The study was done by personal finance website Wallethub.
It shows that Minnesota is first for highest median annual family income, second for lowest number of families in poverty, fifth for low separation and divorce rates, and sixth for percent of families with young children.
To determine the best states in which to put down family roots, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 52 key indicators of family-friendliness. Those included family fun, health and safety, education and child care, affordability and socio-economics.
Minnesota was bested overall only by Massachusetts.
