The Detroit Lakes Chamber of Commerce is announcing the resignation of Carrie Johnston, who has dedicated 14 years to the Chamber. During her tenure, Carrie has been instrumental in developing and maintaining numerous business-focused programs and community events.
Under her leadership, the Chamber introduced initiatives like HR Connect, the Tour of Manufacturing, :45 Fill-up Networking, Women’s EDGE Speaker Series, and the Economic Development Summit. Carrie also ensured the continuation of long-standing traditions, including the annual Visitors Guide, Member Coupon Book, Festival of Birds, Art in the Park, and the WE Fest Shuttle.
Carrie expressed her gratitude to the many volunteers, local businesses, and staff members who have supported the Chamber’s mission. She highlighted the significant contributions of the Chamber staff, whose combined 75 years of service have been pivotal to the success of the Chamber’s efforts.
To honor Carrie’s contributions and bid her farewell, the DL Chamber Board of Directors invites all members to an open house on Monday, August 5th, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at the DL Chamber Office.
