Andrea Lee Kier, 41, of Detroit Lakes, has been sentenced for misdemeanor fifth-degree assault following an incident outside Detroit Lakes Zorbaz on June 3, 2023.
Kier and two other women assaulted another woman, who was hospitalized with a broken nose and bruised face. Witnesses saw the attackers pinning the victim and stealing her purse. The women were later pulled over by police, and the stolen purse was recovered.
Kier pleaded guilty on an Alford basis, leading to the dismissal of felony robbery and third-degree assault charges. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail, stayed for one year, fined $300 plus $150 in court fees, and placed on unsupervised probation for one year.
