Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is spotlighting $8 million to support mentorship programs for new teachers in areas with shortages, including special education. Funds can be put toward seminars and workshops, on-the-ground coaching, orientation and onboarding, mentor stipends and more. The 2023 Legislature passed the Statewide Teacher Mentoring Program grants earlier this spring as part of the Education Bill.
