Big news from the Otter Tail County Highway Department. Bob Ehlert has stepped into his new role as the Engineering Supervisor. Ehlert, a Battle Lake native with 25 years of service under his belt, brings a wealth of experience to the position. County Engineer Krysten Foster praised Ehlert’s dedication, highlighting his role in project management and daily construction operations.
Ehlert, who started as an engineering technician in 1999, is excited about the challenges ahead. “We have a dedicated team and a skilled crew. I’m looking forward to continuing our good work,” he said.
In his new role, Ehlert will oversee a team of 11 engineering technicians, focusing on road and bridge projects, and handling management, budgeting, and planning duties.
