(DL-Online) – In a finding that may have nationwide implications a federal jury in Fergus Falls found CRC Industries partially responsible for the death of a woman from Baudette. In 2019, 28-year-old Kyle Neumiller killed 42-year-old Cynthia McDougall in a head-on crash. Neumiller was sentenced to 6 years in prison for causing the crash. Investigators found him to be under the influence of what was later determined to be huffing dust cleaner. Similar lawsuits have been settled out of court, but this $8 million award to the family of the victim appears to be the first time in US history that a jury has held a manufacturer liable in a huffing case
