This coming Sunday a special kind of grieving will take place at 1pm in Oak Grove Cemetery in Detroit Lakes. Essentia Health is holding the annual Infant Loss Memorial Service. The public is invited to attend the service which will be held rain or shine and birthplace nurses will be in attendance. Attendees are welcome to bring flowers. Essentia birthplace supervisor and registered nurse Paige Perrine explained “This longstanding event is held annually for those who have experienced this acute loss and provides a safe space for patients to grieve in a way they may not otherwise be able to.
