
FARGO, N.D. – A man may face charges after telling a woman he had thrown his daughter over the Main Avenue Bridge into the Red River. The Fargo Police Department received the report just before 4:20 a.m. on Monday, April 15. According to the woman who called, the man flagged her down while she was driving on Main Avenue near the bridge. He claimed to have thrown his daughter into the water. Police and fire department personnel responded to the scene. Upon speaking with the man, officers determined that he was intoxicated. They later contacted the mother of the man’s daughter, who confirmed that the child was safe with her, residing out of state. The Fargo Police Department intends to submit a complaint to prosecutors for a disorderly conduct charge against the man.
