Two individuals are in custody following a standoff in a south Fargo neighborhood. Fargo Police, assisted by the Metro Area Street Crimes Unit, surrounded a home on 18th Street South to locate and arrest 39-year-old Joshua Steckroat for an outstanding warrant related to a probation violation. Steckroat, who was living in the garage of a duplex, initially refused to come out but surrendered after tear gas was deployed. He was taken for evaluation and then transported to the Cass County Jail. Additionally, a woman, Rebecca Wilkin, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for marijuana possession. The incident caused a temporary road closure but has since been resolved.
