FRIDLEY, Minn. – A fire at the Black Forest Apartments complex in Fridley on Wednesday resulted in the displacement of residents from 27 units, according to officials. Fire Marshal James Lange informed FOX 9 that responding crews discovered a fire burning on the third floor of the apartment complex on Innsbruck Drive N. The fire had spread from the top floor into the attic. While crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames, the nature of the firefighting efforts led to significant water damage. As a result, residents from approximately 27 units have been displaced. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
