A man passed away after being discovered unconscious on a sidewalk in St. Paul early Saturday morning. Police officers on patrol noticed an individual down on the sidewalk near Case Avenue and Arcade Street around 1 a.m. Upon investigation, they found the man unconscious and not breathing.
Efforts were made to revive the man, including CPR performed by officers before St. Paul Fire medics transported him to the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities suspect the man may have been involved in an altercation before they arrived on the scene.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. St. Paul police are conducting an investigation and urge anyone with information to contact them at 651-266-5650.
