In Rothsay, Minnesota, the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office reported that Ottertail County Emergency Dispatch received a 911 call around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13th, from the 100 block of 2nd Ave NW. The call reported an unresponsive seven-year-old.
Upon arrival, Rothsay Rescue found CPR already in progress. The child was then transported by Ringdahl Ambulance Service to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, where they were tragically pronounced dead.
The child’s identity has been withheld pending formal identification and autopsy by the Mid-West Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing pending the results of the autopsy.
