
A Jamestown man, 36, has pleaded guilty to DUI charges after crashing his vehicle into a power pole on February 18th. The incident occurred on Highway 1 near Cooperstown. Casey Zuck, the driver, lost control of his Chevrolet Traverse, veering into the west ditch before overcorrecting and striking the pole. Both Zuck and his passenger, Kandace Dwelle, 41, sustained minor injuries. Zuck pleaded guilty to DUI (.16% or greater), open container of alcohol, and care required. He was sentenced to 5 days confinement, which can be suspended upon completion of a chemical dependency evaluation, 20 hours of community service, and payment of approximately $1,000 in fines.
