DETROIT LAKES — From Becker County:
Human Resources Director Carrie Smith was named interim county administrator in a unanimous Becker County Board vote at an emergency meeting on Thursday. The action was taken after the board voted 3-2 on Tuesday to terminate its employment contract with County Administrator Pat Oman, who has been suspended with pay until Feb. 20, when he will no longer be employed by Becker Count Smith will work with department heads to manage the day-to-day activities of the county until a new county administrator is hired. Smith assumes her duties as interim administrator immediately.
