VERGAS (KDLM) – Vergas is preparing for their annual Maple Syrup Festival this Saturday.
Both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a drive through option are available for the pancake breakfast, which runs from 8 to 11 am at the Vergas Event Center.
Due to ongoing pandemic restrictions, social distancing and masks will be required.
Sherri Hanson, one of the event organizers says the event has grown quite a bit since it first started, “The festival dates back to the early 2000s when Lyle Tweeten invited local Maple Syrup producersto showcase their fresh syrup with pancakes at the Community Center and it grew from there.”
Other events at the Maple Syrup Festival include the Maple Medallion Hunt and a 5K run/walk.
