Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – The M State Foundation awarded more than $91,000 in scholarships at the end of November at three separate award ceremonies at their campuses in Detroit Lakes, Moorhead, and Wadena.
In total, 105 students were selected by the foundation’s review team and received scholarships during the ceremonies.
In a news release, Shannon Britten, associate director of advancement and development for the M State Foundation, said she was grateful for the support of area donors and proud of the M State students for their commitment and dedication.
Britten said: “These scholarships pave the way for students to pursue their dreams.”

Students at M State in Moorhead receive scholarships from the M State Foundation and Alumni.
To be selected, students needed to be registered for at least nine credits and have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
M State Foundation and Alumni provides financial support to the college’s Detroit Lakes, Moorhead and Wadena campuses and is one of two separate foundations that work on behalf of M State and its students.

The other foundation is the Fergus Area College Foundation, which supports the Fergus Falls campus.
