Hitterdal man injured in two-vehicle crash on Highway 9 in Norman County early Monday morning

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – A Hitterdal man was injured in a two vehicle crash on Highway 9 in Norman County early Monday morning.

On Dec. 11 at 6:49 a.m., a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by 59-year-old Michael John Stoltz of Bovey, Minn., was northbound on Highway 9 and attempting to make a left turn onto 160th Avenue when it collided with another northbound vehicle, a 2021 Ford F-150, driven by 62-year-old Scott Aaron Lofgren of Hitterdal.

Lofgren suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and was transported to an Essentia Health Clinic in Ada for treatment.

Stoltz did not report and injuries at the scene.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and law enforcement believes alcohol did not factor into the incident.
