3 injured in Highway 10 crash near Detroit Lakes-Becker County Airport Saturday night

Detroit Lakes, Minn, (KDLM) – Three people were injured in two-vehicle crash on Highway 10, near Airport Road, in Detroit Lakes on Saturday night.

On Nov. 25 at 8:18 p.m., a 2008 GMC Yukon, driven by 43-year-old Andrew Jon Skersick of Detroit Lakes, was attempting to turn onto westbound Highway 10 when it collided with an eastbound 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 59-year-old Jeff Paul Hanna of Fargo.

Airbags deployed in both vehicles during the crash.

Hanna, and his passenger, 40-year-old Cassie Lyn Kostka of Perham, both suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and were transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes for treatment.

Skersick also suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the crash and was also transported to the hospital.

All three vehicle occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and law enforcement has not been able to make a determination whether alcohol played any role in the incident.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported road conditions as “dry” at the time of the crash.
