Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – A Waubun man was injured during a single-vehicle crash on Highway 59 in Mahnomen County on Tuesday afternoon.
On Oct. 31 at 1:09 p.m., a 2017 Nissan Rogue, driven by 64-year-old John Cox of Waubun, was northbound on Highway 59 in Pembina Township when the vehicle entered a roadside ditch and rolled over just south of the city of Mahnomen.
Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash and airbags deployed in the Nissan.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered Cox suffered non-life-threatening injuries and he was transported to Mahnomen Health Center for treatment.
Cox was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and law enforcement believes alcohol did not factor into the incident.
