Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – The Minnesota State Patrol says three people are injured in a Highway 29 crash on Tuesday evening in Douglas County.
On Oct. 31 at 5:14 p.m., a 2010 Chevy Silverado, driven by 21-year-old Preston Alexander Johnsonbyker of Alexandria, was northbound on Highway 29 near mile marker 89 in Carlos Township when it collided with a southbound 2006 Chevy Impala, driven by 26-year-old Nicole Rose Eastmead of Alexandria.
A preliminary crash report indicates that one vehicle swerved over the center line resulting in a head on crash.
Airbags deployed in both vehicles.
Johnsonbyker, along with his passenger in the Silverado, 19-year-old Aaliyah Marie Pray of Miltona, Minn., both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and Johnsonbyker was transported to Alomore Health in Alexandria for treatment.
Eastmead also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital.
Law enforcement believes alcohol did not factor into the incident.
