Perham, Minn (KDLM) – The Hawley Nuggets opened their Football season at Perham. The Yellowjackets scored on their first three possessions and went up 21-0 heading into the half. The Hawley Nugget Defense settled in as the game went on and only gave up a 29-yard field goal to Hudson Hackel in the second half and lost 24-0 on the road at Perham Friday night.
Lucas Schenk was the Muscatell Burns Ford MVP of the game. Hawley now heads home for the Home opener taking on the Frazee Hornets on Friday, September 9th at 7:00. You can listen to the game on 102.3 KRCQ.
