Lakes Area Community Theatre swaps ‘Godspell’ for ‘The Sweet Delilah Swim Club’; show will run Oct. 5-7 at Holmes Theatre

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – The Lakes Area Community Theatre has decided to change their fall show from “Godspell” to the comedic-drama, “The Sweet Delilah Swim Club.”

In a Holmes Theatre news release, the play is described as, quote, “a captivating theatrical experience that explores the profound strength of female friendships.”

The play follows a group of five extraordinary women who, bound together by their shared love for swimming, navigate the tides of life’s challenges with unwavering camaraderie and resilient humor. As they gather at their beloved swim club over the course of several years, audiences will be swept up in the touching journey of these women as they confront personal trials, celebrate triumphs, and discover the enduring power of connection.
