Williamsport, PA (KDLM) – Nevada shortstop Nolan Gifford hit a home run in the fourth inning as Nevada eliminated North Dakota from the Little League World Series with a 7-1 victory on Sunday afternoon.
Fargo — the Midwest champions representing North Dakota — went 0-2 at the LLWS to get eliminated from the main double-elimination bracket. Texas earned a 6-2 victory against Fargo on Friday night.
Colin Hanson had an RBI single in the second inning for North Dakota in the second inning. William Korbl, Blaise Ostrom, and Evan Eckman also had hits for Fargo, the first team from North Dakota to ever advance and represent the Midwest at the Little League World Series.
Fargo will get a chance to play one more friendly game against an international opponent in the next few days before returning home.
