Fire in Wadena Destroys Barn and Chickens

WADENA (KDLM) – A fire in Wadena destroyed a small barn and damaged a garage, Saturday.

Just after 11am on Saturday, The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a multi-structure fire. The homeowner indicated he heard a “pop” and looked outside to see his barn on fire. Due to high winds, the fire spread to a one stall garage.

The garage was partially damaged, siding on a family residence was also damaged while the barn was a complete loss. A chicken coop and 11 chickens were also killed in the fire.
