Street Faire road closures in downtown Detroit Lakes begin June 1

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Road closures for Street Faire of the Lakes in Detroit Lakes will begin on Thursday afternoon.

According to a news release from the Detroit Lakes public works department, Holmes Street, from Washington Avenue to Lake Avenue, will be closed at 2 p.m. on June 1.

Additionally, Washington Avenue, from Frazee Street to Highway 10, the rest of Holmes Street, from Washington Avenue to the alley next to the old police department building, and Front Street, from Lake Avenue to the alley behind Ace Hardware, will be closed to traffic beginning at 6 p.m. on June 1.

The public works department urges all residents and patrons of the city’s downtown businesses to plan to off those streets by the times of the closures.

All streets will be reopened by 9 p.m. on June 3.
