Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Two people were treated on-scene by EMS personnel following a structure fire in rural Audubon on Friday morning.
According to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, on May 26 at 9:26 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a report of a structure fire on 21000 block of 206th Avenue in rural Audubon.
A 66-year-old Audubon man had briefly left the golf cart he had been working on near a barn when he began to notice black smoke coming from the barn.
The structure became fully engulfed by flames and eventually collapsed.
The man and a 62-year-old Audubon woman were treated at the scene by EMS personnel for minor burns and smoke inhalation, but they did not require medical transport to an area hospital.
