DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Lakes Area National Guard Soldiers were deployed, Tuesday.
Drifters of Able Company 2-136 Combined Arms Battalion, Task Force Bastard, will embark on a deployment to the Middle East in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
“We will greatly miss our Soldiers, but we know they are the best around and will no doubt return to us soon,” a Facebook post said.
Nearly 1,100 Soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard’s Brainerd-based 1-194th Armor Regiment will deploy in support of Operation Spartan Shield through Spring of 2022.
